MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The No. 2 Auburn Tigers, fresh off a loss to the No. 1 Florida State Seminoles found themselves on another cover for the magazine, Sports Illustrated.

The Tigers were featured on the cover on Dec. 9, Dec. 16 and Dec. 30, but the January 7 edition has to sting a bit.

The new cover shows Auburn's Chris Davis, Jr. as he tries unsuccessfully to keep FSU's Kelvin Benjamin from catching the ball in the Seminole's game winning touchdown play.

Just 13 seconds later, it would be FSU hoisting the crystal trophy into the air following nearly an entire game trailing the Tigers. The final score 34-31.

While Auburn is on the cover, there's no mistaking that it's a feature all about FSU. The cover, in bold: "Florida Statement".

The feature article, by SI senior writer Andy Staples, focuses on the Seminoles' perfect season and the loss by the SEC. Read more HERE.

You can look back at Auburn's cover photos for Dec. 9, Dec. 16 and Dec. 30.
