BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

Woodstock police need your help identifying a man they say used a stolen credit card to fill up his gas tank before leaving the scene.

Woodstock's police chief, Len Price, says the man walked into the Chevron in Caffee Junction Saturday night. He says he gave the cashier a debit card and filled his tank with $70 worth of gas and then drove off. When the cashier tried to charge it, it was declined.

Police say the original owner of the card says he lost his wallet which held the credit card inside. The card was never activated.

Police are asking anyone with information about him to contact them. You can reach them at 205-288-0235.
