COVINGTON CO., AL (WSFA) -

Alabama State Troopers are investigating the cause of a single-vehicle crash that killed an Opp woman Friday morning.

The crash happened around 7:10 a.m. in Covington County.

Shanecqua S. Peacock, 21, was killed when she lost control of the 2007 Nissan Altima she was driving and struck a culvert on Whatley Road two miles west of Babby.

Peacock, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene by Covington County Coroner Norman Hobson.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
