The Montgomery Public School System says it is releasing classes early at Fitzpatrick Elementary after a water main ruptured near the school Tuesday morning.
Officials say they don't expect to have the water back on at the school until later in the afternoon, so the decision was made to end the school day early.
Parents of affected students are being contacted by the school's administration. Dismissal is set for 1 p.m.
Students who remain at the school will be transported to McKee Middle School until 2:30 p.m. at which time they'll be brought back to Fitzpatrick for regular dismissal.
