Truck collides with horse on Old Hickory Boulevard

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Nashville family's truck was destroyed after colliding with a horse overnight.

The family was driving down Old Hickory Boulevard near Whites Creek Pike when they say two horses ran across the road in front of them.

They tried to swerve and miss them, but police say the truck hit one of the horses and killed it.

No one inside the truck was injured in the crash.

Police say the horses may have run away from a nearby farm.
