MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

A new test is helping people keep track of their mental sharpness. The self administered gerocognitive examination or sage test, takes less than 15 minutes and some researchers say it may help spot Alzheimer's early.

The test is showing promise at identifying cognitive issues early, and it is a tool that researchers say could help those concerned about their own or a loved one's memory loss.

Coming up on Alabama Live we have a special guest calling from Chicago, Doctor Dean Hartley The Director of Science Initiatives for the Alzheimer's Association. He will be here to discuss this new test and what it could mean for patients and loved ones.
