BARBOUR CO., AL (WSFA) -

An arrest has been made in a October 2013 homicide of an elderly Barbour County woman.

The Sheriff's Department says it has arrested 45-year-old Felecia LaShawn Sanders for allegedly murdering 72-year-old Elizabeth "Pool" Sanders.

Sheriff LeRoy Upshaw confirms that the suspect is Ms. Sander's daughter-in-law.

Ms. Sanders, whom family called "Pool", was found dead in her kitchen on October 11, 2013. She had been shot to death, according to officials.

The victim lived in the Springhill Community, a very rural part of Barbour County. At the time of her murder, investigators had very few lead. But one piece of evidence led to the suspect's arrest.

Sheriff Upshaw would not go into details about what that evidence is, and would say only that the motive involved "money and greed".

Felecia Sanders was found in Eufaula, arrested for murder and transported to the Barbour County Jail.

Her bond was set at $300,000.
