Eastdale Mall has announced it will be serving as a public weigh-in site for Scale Back Alabama.

The contest begins with the public weigh-in Monday January 20th to Friday the 24th, at the GNC located inside the mall. Teams can come by and sign up for the contest, and do the initial weigh in, between the hours of 10 a.m. through 12 p.m.

Teams of 4 can register to compete for cash drawings over a 10 week period. Each team where each individual loses 10 pounds, the team name will be entered into a drawing. The top prize for the drawing is a $1000 per team member.

This year's competition will be led by Gina McDonald, former participant of NBC's 2013 Biggest Loser and lawyer from Birmingham. She is committed to the task and understands first-hand the health benefits of losing weight and exercise.
