3 arrested for felony possession of forged instrument

AUBURN, AL -

On Wednesday, January 15, 2014 the Auburn Police Division arrested Reginald D. Washington, age 42, Courtney T. Threat, age 33, both from Auburn and Justin A. Patrick, age 31 from Opelika on felony warrants charging them each with possession of a forged instrument second degree.

At approximately 12:47 p.m. Auburn Police responded to a forgery in progress call at a business in the 500 block of Lee Road 53. Officers located Reginald Washington still at the business. Threat and Patrick were located by Officers near the store; both were recognized as being the subject of a prior forgery investigation reported on January 3, 2014 at the same business.  Forged checks were presented for payment after which they received currency in return. 

All three subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Lee County Jail.  Threat and Patrick will each be eligible for a $3,000 bond. Washington will be eligible for a $3,500 bond, due to him having an additional charge for Failure to Appear.
