PRATTVILLE, AL (WSFA) -

A student from Prattville Christian Academy places in the Top 15 overall at the National American Miss Alabama Pre-Teen Pageant.

5th grader Laura Grace Henry recently returned from the 13 day trip in California where she competed against 178 contestants from across the country.

Laura was named Top 10 in both the talent and modeling competitions. She also received 3rd place for her volunteer community service work, through her non-profit organization, It Starts With One.

At the competition she participated in several events including a day at Disney Land, a Hollywood Tour, a formal Thanksgiving Gala and a shopping excursion.
