CALERA, AL (WSFA) -

Mark Ingram is joining forces with key leaders to announce a statewide effort to improve the money management skills of students.

New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram with Alabama Treasurer Young Boozer, John Turner, Executive of Regions Financial, and representatives from Visa  will join for an event launching "Financial Football", a free educational video game and classroom curriculum, on Friday, January 24th.

During the launching event Ingram and Boozer will coach students, who have been divided into teams, in a game of Financial Football projected on a big screen in the room.

"Financial Football", which is developed by Visa Inc., which helps tackle the issue of financial literacy among Alabama teens, will be distributed by the Treasurer's office to every public middle school and high school in the state of Alabama.
