A woman faces forgery charges after passing a check at an Athens grocery store.

Police arrested Sequawah Wiggins Thursday. Investigators said that Wiggins cashed a forged check for nearly $500 at Hometown Grocery in October.

Wiggins was arrested in Madison County, booked at the Athens Police Department, and transferred to the Limestone County Jail.
