Clean City Commission seeks volunteers for cleanup day Saturday, Jan 18

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

From the Montgomery Clean City Commission:

The Montgomery Clean City Commission is seeking volunteers to help out with the 10th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Cleanup. The event will be Saturday, January 18th, from 10:00 am until noon.

There will be a kickoff ceremony at 9:30 am at the Cleveland Avenue YMCA. This year's focus is the Voting Rights Trail with cleanups scheduled at the following locations:

  • Holt Street @ Stone Street
  • Jeff Davis Avenue @ I-65
  • Alexander Street @ Oak Street
  • Mill Street @ Oak Street

This event is being sponsored by District 4 Councilman David Burkette, District 7 Councilman Arch Lee, Montgomery Clean City Commission and the YMCA of Montgomery.
