HARVEST, AL (WAFF) -

Madison County Fire responded to a brush fire that threatened several homes in the Bob G. Hughes Boulevard area on Saturday afternoon.

Firefighters said one of the neighbors lit a grill when some of the sparks landed in the grass and quickly spread in the windy conditions. Four homes were affected with no damage to the buildings other than to the siding on the home of the woman who started the fire. No one was injured.

Firefighters had the fire contained in 10 minutes and extinguished in 20 minutes.
