HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

If you've got an opinion about Huntsville's planned chicken ordinance, Tuesday is your last chance to let council members hear it.

The council is holding a town hall meeting at the Huntsville Public Library to discuss the plan.

Right now, the ordinance would allow Huntsville residents to keep three egg-laying hens in their backyard. Roosters would not be allowed.

The proposal has prompted some complaints from people saying that the birds would be loud, messy, and don't belong in an urban setting.

The meeting is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday.
