3 drug suspects arrested in Tuscaloosa, more arrests expected

TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -

Three people have been arrested on drug-related charges after undercover officers bought high grade marijuana "multiple times" from the suspects in west Alabama.

The West Alabama Narcotics Task Force carried out a four-month long investigation that ended in three arrests, and agents expect to add more charges and arrest more suspects.

Agents recovered 1.5 pounds of high-grade marijuana worth $9,000 and also seized about $25,000 in cash.

The following suspects were arrested at three different locations between 2:10 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17:

Chip Ervin, 35, of Tuscaloosa, was charged with one count of possession of marijuana first degree and one count of sale of a controlled substance within three miles of a school. He was placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail pending a $45,000 bond.

Andrea Harbin, 28, of Tuscaloosa was charged with three counts of distribution of a controlled substance. She was placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail pending a $30,000 bond.

Jack Nathaniel Washburne III, of Northport, was charged with three counts of distribution of a controlled substance and 1 count of attempting to elude. He was placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail Pending a $20,000 bond.
