HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Police made an arrest in connection with a deadly shooting that happened Monday night on Patton Road in Huntsville.

Jordan Darell Baker, 21, of Huntsville, was arrested Tuesday and charged with capital murder in connection with the shooting death of James Winters. Police said the shooting happened just before 9 p.m. Monday at an apartment complex on the 4500 block of Patton Road.

Authorities said another person was stabbed the night of the shooting and was transferred to the hospital. Huntsville Police said the two incidents are related and the offender in the shooting, Baker was the victim in the stabbing.

Police confirmed Tuesday Baker was one of five people who were shot at Benchwarmer, a club in Huntsville. Police have not indicated a connection between that shooting and Monday's incidents.

Baker is currently being held in the Madison County Metro Jail without bond.
