COVINGTON CO., AL (WSFA) -

The Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board says a Bullock County man is facing charges for allegedly selling illegal moonshine in Covington County.

William "Billy" May of Union Springs was arrested Jan. 15 after authorities say he delivered 40 gallons of moonshine to an undercover ABC agent.

May was arrested on Highway 29 just north of Andalusia. He's charged with two felony counts of transportation of prohibited liquor and beverages, two misdemeanor counts of selling prohibited liquor and beverages without a license and one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana.

May was released from the Covington County jail after posting a $223,000 bond.
