Suspects arrested in Auburn after robbery at gunpoint

AUBURN, AL (WSFA) -

Police say they have made two arrests in a robbery that occurred at gun point. 

Auburn Police say they have arrested 21-year-old Da'Raebian S. Barefield from Columbus, Georgia and 20-year-old Autumn R. Macon-Scaff from Auburn, and charged them with robbery first degree.

On November 24, 2013 around 9 p.m. officers responded to the 200 Block of W. Longleaf Drive after a call of a victim being robbed at gunpoint.Once they arrived victims told police that they had been robbed at gunpoint by three individuals, who stole an Apple iphone valued at $250 and two hundred dollars in U.S. currency.

After an investigation Barefield and Macon-Scaff were developed as suspects of the robbery and were arrested. Barefield was also arrested for failure to appear and probation violation. Macon-Scaff was also arrested at the scene for unrelated charges and again arrested while in custody.

Macon-Scaff was transported to the Lee County Jail with a $100,000 bond.

Barefield was transported to the Lee County Jail with a $100,500 bond.

This investigation remains ongoing and additional arrests are possible.
