CINCINNATI (FOX19/CNN) -

Just how safe is your car? New crash test video is showing that many of those subcompact and mini-cars get all smashed up.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety tested eleven. Only one did reasonably well. The Chevy Spark was listed as "acceptable."

No car was described as "good."

So which ones failed?

  • Nissan Versa
  • Toyota Prius C
  • Hyundai Accent
  • Mitsubishi Mirage
  • Fiat 500
  • Honda Fit

Some automakers whose cars faired poorly say their vehicles were designed before this particular crash test was designed. They expect their future models will perform much better. Most consumers sure hope so.
