AUBURN, AL (WTVM) -

Police have arrested Amber M. Miller, 31, of Auburn, on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014 for allegedly stealing another Auburn woman's identity and spending several thousand dollars on fraudulent credit cards.

On Jan. 1, 2014, a victim filed a report with police from a home in the 400 block of Belmonte Dr. The victim told officers that Miller, an acquaintance, had stolen personal information while visiting the home.

Miller allegedly used the information to open credit card accounts in the victim's name. Police say she made various purchases with the cards between March and May of 2013 totaling over $11,000.

During investigation, police issued felony warrants charging Miller with two counts of Identity Theft and two counts of Fraudulent Use of a Credit/Debit Card.

Miller was arrested for these charges, was transported to the Lee County Jail, and will be eligible for a $16,000 bond.
