Springfield teen arrested on rape charge

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

Springfield police showed up at an alleged sexual offender's home early Thursday morning and served a Springfield District Court warrant, according to Springfield police Sgt. John Delaney.

Justin Aviles, 18, of 38 Montclair St., Springfield, was charged with rape after detectives from the Springfield Police Department Warrant Apprehension Unit located him at his home at 6 a.m. Wednesday, Delaney said.

The teen was arraigned in Springfield District Court Thursday.
