Madison police announced Monday that they arrested a man in connection with an armed robbery from last month.
Officers said the armed robbery happened on Dec. 11, and detectives developed information since then that led to the identification of a suspect. Police arrested Cameron Edwards, 20, of Decatur, on Jan. 23.
Edwards was charged with robbery, burglary and theft of property. The last two charges were related to an incident at a Madison residence on Dec. 2. A juvenile was also arrested in connection with these latter crimes.
Edwards was booked into Madison County Jail on bonds totaling $80,000.
Police said Edwards was determined to have also been the suspect in an armed robbery to a jogger on Hughes Road.
