MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Alabama Power confirms the power is back on for approximately 8500 customers who went without power in Montgomery.

Crews restored the power to customers in the East Montgomery area shortly after 10 a.m. There is no word as of yet on why the power has gone out.

WSFA 12 News will keep you updated on the situation and will bring you the latest information once it is received.
