Multi-parish school and other closures

School districts across Louisiana are announcing their plans to open or remain closed this week as the winter weather develops. Below is a list of openings and closures gather by FOX 8. We will update this list as more information becomes available.

Jefferson Parish

All public and private schools will be OPEN Thursday, Jan. 30, but will start TWO HOURS LATE.

Catholic schools will have no morning bus service.

St. Anthony Catholic School will be CLOSED on Thursday, Jan. 30.

Milestone SABIS Academy will be OPEN on Thursday, Jan. 30, but will start TWO HOURS LATE. Bus service will also run on the delayed schedule.\

Lafourche Parish: 

All public schools and offices will be OPEN THURSDAY

New Beginnings Schools Foundation

All New Beginnings Schools Foundation charter schools will be OPEN on Thursday, Jan. 30.

Orleans Parish and Recovery School District

Edna Karr Charter High School will be CLOSED Thursday, Jan. 30.

Mildred Osborne Charter School will be CLOSED Thursday, Jan. 30.

ARISE Academy will be CLOSED Thursday, Jan. 30.

Lagniappe Academies will be CLOSED to students on Thursday, Jan. 30, but staff will report for a Professional Development day.

The Joey Georgusis Center for Children at the City Park Campus of Delgado Community College will be CLOSED on Thursday, Jan. 30, because of a water main break in the area

All other RSD and Orleans Parish Schools will be OPEN on Thursday, Jan. 30.

Mary Magdalen Catholic School will be CLOSED on Thursday, Jan. 30.

St. Michael Special School will be CLOSED on Thursday, Jan. 30.

De la Salle High School will start at 9:30 a.m.

Mount Carmel Academy will start at 9:50 a.m.

There will be no morning bus service for Catholic schools on Thursday, Jan. 30.

Plaquemines Parish

Catholic schools will be OPEN on Thursday, Jan. 30. However, there will be no morning bus service.

St. Bernard Parish
All public schools will be CLOSED Thursday and are expected to resume on Friday, Jan. 31.

St. Charles Parish

Public and Private schools will be OPEN on Thursday, Jan. 30.

St. John Parish

All public and private schools will be CLOSED on Thursday, Jan. 30.

St. Tammany Parish

All Catholic schools will be CLOSED on Thursday, Jan. 30.

Tangipahoa Parish

All public schools will be CLOSED on Thursday, Jan. 30.

Terrebonne Parish

Public and private schools will be OPEN on Thursday, Jan. 30.

Washington Parish 

Catholic schools will be OPEN on Thursday, Jan. 30. However, there will be no morning bus service.

Colleges

Southeastern Louisiana University will be CLOSED on Thursday, Jan. 30 at all locations.

Nunez Community College will be CLOSED on Thursday, Jan. 30.

Northshore Technical Community College will be CLOSED on Thursday, Jan. 30.

Our Lady of Holy Cross College will be OPEN at 10 am on Thursday, Jan. 30.

The University of New Orleans will be OPEN on Thursday, Jan. 30

Southern University of New Orleans will be OPEN on Thursday, Jan. 30.

All Delgado Community College campuses except Delgado Northshore will be OPEN at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30.

Herzing University will be OPEN on Thursday, Jan. 30.

Loyola University will be OPEN on Thursday, Jan. 30.

Tulane University will be OPEN on Thursday, Jan. 30.

Dillard University will be OPEN on Thursday, Jan. 30.

Xavier University will be OPEN on Thursday, Jan. 30.

LSU Health Sciences Center will be OPEN on Thursday, Jan. 30.
