SUMTER COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

While kids and parents alike were enjoying the aftermath of Tuesday night's snowfall in parts of the Midlands, even local police officers got into the act.

Two photos shared on the Sumter Police Department's Facebook page shows Cpl. Tommy Brewer taking a little time out of his daily patrol to get into a snow ball fight with a group of kids on South Purdy Street.

Brewer also had the opportunity to help the kids build a snowman.

According to the National Weather Service, the Sumter area received about 2 inches of snow during the winter weather storm.
