Scottsdale water plant worker injured in fall

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (CBS5) -

A worker at the Scottsdale Water campus fell from a pipe in a concrete vault and had to be rescued by firefighters Thursday morning.

Scottsdale fire Capt. Danny Able said the worker was in a 20-foot concrete vault and fell about five feet from atop the pipe on the campus at 8787 Hualapai Dr.

The Scottsdale hazmat team was monitoring the air while paramedics treated the patient, immobilized him and then brought him out of the vault.

Paramedics said the man was not seriously injured.

No other information was immediately available.
