FLORENCE, AZ (CBS5) -

For the second time in less than a week, an Arizona prison inmate has assaulted an employee, forcing a lockdown of the facility, according to the Arizona Department of Corrections.

Jacob Harvey, 20, is under criminal investigation in connection to the assault on a staff member about 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the Meadows Unit of the Arizona State Prison Complex Eyman in Florence, according to a DOC news release.

Investigators, working with the Pinal County Attorney's Office said the staff member was stabbed with a pen and sexually assaulted.

The employee was taken to an off-site medical facility for treatment.

A criminal investigation was continuing.

Harvey has been in prison since March 12, 2013 after being convicted in Maricopa County Superior Court on charges of sexual assault and kidnapping.

On Jan. 24, an inmate assaulted an employee in the Morey Unit of the Lewis Complex in Buckeye.
