Alabama State Troopers are updating their statistics for traffic fatalities for the January 28 through February 2 ice storm after an additional person died more than a week later following a Tuscaloosa County crash.

Troopers worked seven weather-related crashes that resulted in ten fatalities during the storm. There were two weather-related crash fatalities in Chilton and Elmore counties and three deaths in Tuscaloosa county. There was one fatality each in Bullock, DeKalb and Perry counties.

In Bullock County, Eric Williams, 72, was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Thursday. The crash happened on Alabama 239. [Report]

In Chilton County, Will Latham, 87, was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Thursday. The crash happened on Alabama 22. [Report]

In Chilton County, Alabama Department of Corrections employee Dezi Arnez Patterson, 43, was killed in a crash on Highway 82.

In DeKalb County, Marie Duncan, 53, of Fort Payne, was killed when her vehicle hit a tree on DeKalb County 22 just east of Collinsville.

In Elmore County, Tyrell Harris, 29, Rayne Harris, 2, were killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Tuesday. The crash happened on Hwy. 14. [Report]

In Perry County, 64-year-old Emma Evans was killed on January 28 in a two-vehicle crash along Highway 5. [Report]

In Tuscaloosa County, 57-year-old Charles Kelly Meiklejohn and 39-year-old Nahum Terrance Mickles were killed in a deadly train collision on January 28. Alabama State Troopers say a third victim, 58-year-old David McKenzie, died Feb. 7 at a Tuscaloosa hospital. [Report]
