BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

Four people who are facing animal cruelty charges in Fayette County have made their appearance in district court.

They were arrested on drug and animal cruelty charges last month after more than 40 dogs were removed from a dog training center.

All four were placed on probation and got a 12-year suspended sentence on animal cruelty that prevents them from operating a similar business. They are appealing the judge's ruling.
