AUBURN, AL (WSFA) -

Auburn police say two people are facing drug charges after a traffic stop Tuesday.

Anthony J. Davis, 25, of Auburn, was arrested on felony warrants for possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Sabretia C. Hunt, 24, also of Auburn, was arrested on felony warrants for possession of marijuana and carrying a pistol without a permit.

According to Auburn police, an officer saw a vehicle traveling on S. Gay Street near E. Magnolia Avenue that didn't have license plate. The officer stopped the vehicle at 9:44 a.m. and reportedly noticed the smell of marijuana from inside.

During a search of the vehicle, officers found cocaine, marijuana, a scale and a handgun, according to Auburn police.

The suspects were transported to the Lee County Jail. Davis' bond was set at $6,000 and Hunt's bond was set at $4,000.
