Eufaula police searching for capital murder suspect

EUFAULA, AL (WTVM) -

The Eufaula Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred within the city at about 10:45 p.m. Thursday Jan. 30. 

The victim, 20-year-old Darrian Scott of Eufaula, was taken by private vehicle to Medical Center Barbour and transferred to Southeast Alabama Medical Center by Eufaula Rescue with life-threatening injuries. 

Scott was pronounced dead at Southeast Alabama Medical Center at 6:49 a.m. Friday morning. 

The Eufaula Police Department is seeking Marques Ivory. He is a five feet five inches tall black male and weighs 168 pounds with a bald head or a shaved head with small dreads on top. 

Ivory should be considered armed and dangerous.  He is known to frequent the Bluff Park Apartment area and Georgetown, Ga.  Anyone with information about Ivory's whereabouts is urged to call the Eufaula Police Department at 334-687-1200.

Investigators are continuing to collect evidence with the aid of the Department of Homeland Security's Mobile Crime Unit from Houston County.  An arrest warrant has been obtained, and several law enforcement agencies are aggressively looking for the suspect. 

Anyone with any additional information regarding Thursday night's shooting is urged to call the Eufaula Police Department at 334-687-1200.
