HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

The Madison County District Attorney is working to keep a man, arrested for sex abuse twice in eight days, in jail.

Tuesday, prosecutors filed a motion to revoke Brian Lucas' bond, keeping him in jail until his scheduled trial date. They hope a judge will agree. Assistant DA Tim Gann said his request is black-and-white. One by one, he listed the reasons he said Brian Lucas should stay in jail.

It starts with two charges in late January. Lucas was accused of first-degree sex abuse and attempted sodomy with a minor. The next day, he posted a $45,000 bond.

One week after leaving jail, Lucas is alleged to have committed new sex crimes with a different victim. Prosecutors charged Lucas with two counts of first-degree sex abuse Monday.

A neighbor of Lucas said she was shocked. "I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully it is not true, for him and his family," she said.

In the motion, Gann said Lucas has shown himself to be a danger to the community. He also points to a rule in the Alabama Rules of Criminal Procedure, stating that anyone released on bond shall refrain from committing any criminal offense.

A judge will have a final decision on whether his new bond is in fact revoked. Brian Lucas' defense attorney refused to comment on the case at this point.

Brian Lucas' twin brother Aaron is a former Madison County soldier who pleaded guilty to kidnapping and sex crimes in Colorado. Aaron faces up to life in prison and will be sentenced this month. Investigators said his DNA also connects him to sex crimes in Madison and in Texas.

Madison County prosecutors said they will not pursue the Madison case because of the Colorado plea deal.
