SHELBY COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

A Shelby County grand jury will hear the case of a woman accused of killing another woman at an Iron Bowl party.

Adrian Briskey is charged with murder in the death of Michelle Shepherd. Wednesday morning Briskey waived her right to a preliminary hearing because her attorney says they have the evidence they need at this point.

The case will now head to a grand jury.

Investigators say Briskey and Shepherd got into an argument after the Iron Bowl. They say the fight escalated in the parking lot of Summerchase at Riverchase apartments.

Witnesses say Briskey shot Shepherd three times.

Briskey's attorney, John Robbins, says at this point the public only knows one side of the story.

"At this point only one side of the story is out. This is not the venue to present our defense or present the full story. The only side of the story right now is the prosecution's side and stay tuned," Robbins said.
