BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

It's as if you arrive at a castle atop Double Oak Mountain.

"Oh they just say ‘Wow! I didn't know there was a house like that in Birmingham,'" Pam Ausley explained. She's been selling homes in Birmingham for about 40 years, but says this mansion stands out.

"The perfection of it," Ausley added.

The custom-built home is part of the exclusive Crest neighborhood and sits on 1.5 acres of land. Ausley will tell you, owners left no corner on the property untouched. The backyard has a heated saltwater pool and a multi-level patio with an outdoor kitchen. For those practicing on their swing, there's a putting green, too. All of it with an unbelievable view of North Shelby County.

"That is the real wow factor. There are just not many views like that, " Ausley explained.

The inside has more than 10,000 square feet of living space, European style design from top to bottom, with five bedrooms and four and half baths.

"Really warm, inviting and entertaining home," said Ausley.

There are five fireplaces throughout the home to cozy up to. The great room boasts 25 foot ceilings and a grand stair case. There's a large man cave with pool table and bar on the bottom floor and the long list of amenities goes on.

"It's really practical as well as beautiful," said Ausley.

There's lots of convenient storage space with a walk-in pantry and large laundry room. Upstairs there's a kids playroom with built-in cameras.

"The master bedroom is so luxurious and so beautiful." It connects to a walk-in closet covered in wall to wall custom built drawers, a spiral stair case that leads to a sitting room, and a fridge with sink.

"As you can see every detail was planned, and executed."

So what will it cost to call this mansion your home? Ausley says the asking price is $5 million.
