Police are investigating a shooting that happened Wednesday night in Arab.
Authorities said the shooting happened around 10 p.m. on Brookside Drive. According to police, the victim is Amie Hopkins, 44, who is in critical condition at Huntsville Hospital.
According to Arab Police Chief Ed Ralston, the victim was shot once in the chest and once in the head. Police said there was a person of interest in the case, that person has since been questioned and released.
Ralston said they want to talk with the victim but cannot due to her current condition.
The case is still classified as a shooting investigation as authorities continue to uncover information.
