MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

An Alabama Christian Academy senior will officially be an Aggie this coming Fall. Bailey Simmons, a track and field athlete, signed with Texas A&M Thursday morning.

Simmons is an All-American hammer thrower and is currently ranked first in the state in the 20-pound weight throw.

Simmons will receive a full scholarship for track and field.

"They are the best track and field team in the country," she says. "They showed us it's really just hard work, not just the glam that will get you, you really want to work hard."

Simmons was the only hammer thrower recruited by Texas A&M this year.
