GEORGIANA, AL (WSFA) -

The City of Georgiana is announcing new economic development in the area that should bring in more jobs to the local economy.

Kajan Perfection, a local company that specializes in making tools for oil companies, announced Thursday a big investment that will create more jobs and grow the company's business.

The company says it has purchased a $1 million machine to expand its production and add specialized jobs. The machine could have gone to Louisiana, but officials decided to bring it to Alabama instead.

Kajan Perfection has been in the area for five years and started with just three employees.
