LAVERGNE, TN (WSMV) -

The search is on for a pair of crooks who hurt two people during a home invasion in La Vergne Thursday night.

Police say someone broke into a home on the 100 block of Greenwood Drive and shot one of the homeowners just before 8 p.m.

Another person in the house was brutally attacked.

Both victims were rushed to a local hospital.

There is no word yet on the victims' conditions or a description of the suspects.

Police are urging people in the neighborhood to lock their doors and report anything suspicious to police.
