ARAB, AL (WAFF) -
A house fire in the Ruth community near Arab had several volunteer departments out in force Thursday night.
Crews from at least three different fire departments were called to a house on a private drive off of Freeport Lane around 6:30 p.m.
Fire crews had difficulty bringing bigger trucks to the scene due to low-hanging power lines. Compounding difficulties was trouble connecting up to a water source; crews had to fill a truck to take water to the home.
The house is considered a total loss. No word on any injuries.
