Teen charged in Ravenel shooting

CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC -
Charleston County Deputies say a 17-year-old has been arrested in connection with a shooting on Roper Run Road in Ravenel Friday night.
 
An incident report states an 18-year-old was shot in his stomach at Burbage Mobile Home Park around 9:45 p.m. Witnesses at the scene say they heard a disturbance coming from a nearby lot, and then heard a single gunshot.
 
Officials say the victim was conscious when authorities arrived on the scene. He was transported MUSC.

According to Major Eric Watson, five suspects were taken into custody for questioning, leading to the arrest of 17-year-old Shaquill Coles. Coles is charged with attempted murder and unlawful possession of a firearm by person under 18. 
 
There is no word on the motive for this shooting.
 
The incident remains under investigation.
