GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

Joshua and Heather Spengler have been happily married for four years. Just three months ago, Joshua came home from their daughter's soccer practice, and he was missing his wedding ring.

"As he was throwing the ball around it flew off his finger, and it's been lost ever since," Heather said.

After weeks of looking, Heather decided to put up flyers of the uniquely hand-crafted wedding ring, with a $100 reward.

A few days ago Heather received a call while she was at work, with great news.

"Wednesday night I got a call from a young boy, he's 12-years-old. He gave me a call and said, 'ma'am I think I found your ring'," she said.

As soon as Heather picked up her husband's ring from the young boy and his mother, and with her daughter's soccer tryout coming up, she knew what to do to surprise her husband.

"So after three months of missing your wedding ring, will you continue to be married to me?" Heather asked as she proposed to her husband.

"Are you serious? Oh my gosh, who found it?" Joshua asked.

Heather interrupts saying, "Are you going to answer my question?"

"Yes," Joshua answers.

What a relief it was for the both of them to have this symbol of their eternal love back.

Joshua was filled with joy from his wife, and just as excited to meet the young boy who brought his lost ring back to him.

"Thank you very much. I'd like to meet the boy. Whoever it was, I'd try to give him another $50," Joshua said.
