HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A common illness made a big appearance for the third straight week at Huntsville Pediatric Associates.

Strep throat once again tops the list of ailments. Doctors tested almost 200 children; 41 results came back positive. That is the highest number so far this year.

Doctors said it is very contagious and the number one way to prevent contracting it is to not share drinks.

Flu cases continue to drop; only six children tested positive this week. So far, doctors said they have only seen cases of Type-A.

RSV and walking pneumonia cases also took a drop with a cumulative total of ten cases this week.
