Amber Alert canceled after Texas teen found safe, mother arrested

UPDATE: According to KTRK ABC 13 in Houston, the missing 14-year-old teen has been found safe.

 


 

The Texas Center for the Missing has issued a regional amber alert on the behalf of the Houston Police Department for an endangered missing child.

The child is 14-year-old Gabriel Elijah McKendall of Houston, Texas. Gabriel is described as a black male with brown hair and brown eyes weighing around 150-pounds. The alert says that Gabriel was abducted by his mother Tuane McKendall Monday afternoon sometime after noon. Officials believe they may be in the 2012 black Volkswagen Beetle convertible with Texas license plates CKK3278. No clothing or other descriptions are available at this time, but officials believe Gabriel to be in danger.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Houston Police Department at 713-308-3600.
