GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A woman is dead after a crash at the intersection of Augusta Road and Chalmers Road in Greenville County.

The accident happened Monday around 1:18 p.m.

Troopers said a woman disregarded a traffic signal while trying to turn off Chalmers Road on to Augusta Road and hit another car.

The driver of that car was a teenager from Piedmont.  The teen was not hurt in the accident.

The coroner identified her as 73-year-old Florine Carter, of Greenville, and said she died at the hospital after she was injured in the crash and went into cardiac arrest.
