CULLMAN COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

FOX6 News reporter Karen Church says that traffic is moving much better on I-65 in Cullman compared to this morning.

Traffic moved at a crawl Tuesday morning along the interstate near the Cullman-Morgan county line. The roads remained open but traffic had to move slowly due to the snowfall.

Tuesday night, much of the snow is gone from the roadway but that could change dramatically overnight.

At a 2 p.m. meeting, the Cullman County EMA discussed preparations. Forecasters predict between two and four inches of snow could fall in the area overnight.

Cullman County and Cullman City schools are closed Wednesday. EMA director Phyllis Little says that if necessary they will open the civic center as a warming station. They're also prepared to aid motorists if they become stranded.
