AAA is telling drivers to conserve their cell phone batteries when they're stranded.

That's because 46 percent of cell phone users actually turned off cell phone features to help save their battery during the last winter storm.

If you find yourself with a dying phone, try turning off the vibrate function and use a regular ringer. The vibrate function uses more battery power.

You want to also have a properly charged car battery, a full tank of gas, and make sure you check your tire pressure.
