MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Vaughn Road Elementary School is kicked off their new mentoring program at 9 a.m. Thursday with a special visit from ASU Head Football Coach and former NFL player Reggie Barlow.

The coach and several of his players talked with a group of young boys about the importance of setting goals, managing diversity and remaining focused.

This mentoring program presentation is a part of Vaughn Road's new Reaching Our Legacy of Excellence (R.O.L.E.) Model program, designed to assist boys between the ages of 5 to 12 who are need of positive role models to enhance their behavior, leadership abilities, academic abilities, confidence, and decision making skills.
