Police say a single-vehicle crash on Thursday night has claimed the life of a Montgomery man.

Alabama State Troopers the crash occurred on Dallas County 56 just east of Selma. 24-year-old Jerry Tyus died from injuries he received after his 2003 Chevy Tahoe left the roadway and overturned.

Officials say his seat belt was not in use during the time of the accident.

No other information is known at this time as the investigation continues.
