(FOX19) -

Residents in the Tri-State are about to catch lottery fever! There's $500 million up for grabs and everyone wants it.

FOX19's Dan Wells reported live in Forest Park this morning where someone recently purchased a lottery ticket for $228,000 at the Shell Gas Station along Winton Road.

The estimated Mega Millions jackpot for tonight is worth $154 million. It's the highest level since mid-Novemeber.

If someone were to win, the cash option is an estimated $84 million.

The jackpot has been rolling since its last hit for $61 million on January 3rd and even bigger jackpots are on the table with $400 million for Wednesday night's Powerball drawings.

Hopefully someone in the Tri-State will win the big bucks!
